The Doctor
 Dr. Brent Songstad
Dr. Brent Songstad earned his DDS at the University of Tennessee and also graduated from the Nash Institute for Dental Learning. He continues his pursuit of knowledge with hundreds of annual continuing education credits that focus primarily on cosmetic dentistry and restorative dentistry. As a vested professional in the dental community, Dr. Songstad is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the TNACD, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Nashville Dental Society. He is also a delegate in the Tennessee Dental Association.
While dentistry is his passion, Dr. Songstad was a collegiate golfer, and he is an avid skier. Photography is another passion in which he can meld his appreciation of art with science.

 Ynell, Patient Coordinator
Dr. Songstad’s wife has worked for the practice for five years. She has an AS degree in computer science and graduated Magna Cum Laude. For 10 years, she has owned a UPS Store. Ynell loves HCC tennis, skiing, traveling, and outdoor activities. |
 Jaynell, Patient Care Coordinator
Born and raised in Dallas, TX, Jaynell is the proud mom to three grown sons, one of whom is Dr. Songstad. She attended the University of Memphis, majoring in elementary education, where she participated in several academic honor societies. She stays active in her church and enjoys traveling, gardening, reading, and spending time with her six grandchildren. |
Leslie, Hygienist
Leslie comes to us from the beautiful mountain state of West Virginia. She earned her hygiene degree from Shawnee State University, where she graduated first in her class, magna cum laude, and received the prestigious “Academic Achievement Award.” Leslie is a true dental hygiene professional concerned about the complete dental health and well being of all her patients. Leslie enjoys cooking and spending time with her family, which includes her “children”, two Jack Russell Terriers named Chester and Annie. |
 Kelly, Hygienist
Kelly was born and raised in Kentucky. She earned her hygiene degree at Lexington Community College. Married to a dentist, Kelly has 10 years experience within the dental profession. Her calming smile and welcoming personality always make her patients feel at ease. She has confidence in her ability to treat and educate patients appropriately. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time outdoors. |
 Julie, Chairside Assistant
Our chairside assistant Julie received her associates of applied science degree with an emphasis in dental assistance. Certified and registered in Tennessee, she worked as a dental assistant for 10 years and has served with Dr. Songstad for almost five. Julie comes across as very compassionate and enjoys interacting with each patient, making dental visits as pleasant as possible. She has an uncanny ability to remember each patient, and often their specific needs. She also has extensive training and has attended the Nash Institute for Advanced Cosmetic Studies. Julie functions as the office OSHA coordinator. When she’s not here, she enjoys water skiing and cheering on the Tennessee Titans. |
